Preventive Dental Care
Save Money and Prevent Problems
Our mission is for all of our patients to have optimum dental health for an entire lifetime. Ideally, general dentistry is preventive dental care. We strive to identify and treat any problems in their earliest stages by establishing a good oral care routine of regular dental cleanings and examinations. Routine visits are the best way to prevent more costly dental problems in the future and maintain the beauty of a healthy smile for a lifetime. One of the things that set us apart is the amount of time we spend with each patient, and the thoroughness of our exams.
Preventive Dental Care Includes:
Our routine examinations are comprehensive and we inspect for:
- Signs of tooth decay
- Gum disease
- Tooth wear
- Oral cancer
- Oral indicators of other health issues such as: sleep apnea or TMJ
Most importantly, we’re here to listen to any concerns you may have, as well as talk about health issues that may be impacting your oral health.
Benefits of Preventive Dental Care:
- Saves money by catching issues while they are still minor, and easily treatable
- Helps prevent future issues, with routine cleanings and inspection
- Disease prevention, and/or early detection
- Teaches good hygiene procedures and daily care
American Dental Association (ADA) recommends regular dental checkups/cleanings every six months (or yearly, as determined by your dentist) as preventive dental care. Following this bi-yearly personal recommendation from your dentist will help to identify any issues or changes to your dental health and ultimately will save you money.
